If you are under 18, and wish to submit an idea/bill we are happy to accept it from a proxy over 18, preferably a relative with your last name. The point is to protect minor's email addresses. If you are under 18 do not display your email address. To rate or submit idea/bills you must be a US citizen. You may delete your membership using the Manage Membership feature in the navbar.

Your responsibilities
I believe the United States can be GREATER. I will keep an open mind, review the bill and the op-eds before rating a bill. I verify I am a United States citizen, and I am personally deciding my own ratings.

I will join using only one email address. I will, when citing a fact, make best efforts to cite a source. When choosing whether I am a Fiscal Conservative, Social Liberal or Independent (both or none) I will do so in a forthright and honest way. I will not try to game the system in any way, shape or form. I may delete my membership at anytime using the "Manage Membership" page. I will not use aGREATER.US trademarks or logos for commercial purposes without the consent of aGREATER.US.

aGREATER.US responsibilities
The sole purpose of this website is to find consensus on a wide array of issues, and to do our best to convince elected officials that consensus means "action" is required. We will never sell your email address. aGREATER.US may deny access to anyone for violating accepted societal norms on a web site meant for family use. This website contains links to third-party websites that are beyond our control. We are not responsible for, nor do we necessarily agree with their content. Materials for the promotion of the GREATER BILL will be made available on the website at a later date.

aGREATER.US, reserves the right to change and/or update this agreement at any time without providing you with notice.  You are welcome at any time to refer to this Agreement to understand the current Terms & Conditions, and to ascertain what, if any, changes have been made. Please be advised that by using this web site, in any way and at any time, you indicate a full acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.   If you do not intend to adhere to these terms, please leave this site, immediately.

  1. EXPLANATION OF SERVICES.  aGREATER.US is a website that provides an outlet for US citizens to create and rate proposed bills for ultimate consideration by federal, state, and local legislative bodies, such as the United States Congress, state assemblies or legislatures, and deliberative bodies of local municipal governments.

  1. FEES.  This site is free of charge.  aGREATER.US, Inc. does not seek any payment from any user of this site.

  1. MEMBERS MUST BE 18+ YEARS OF AGE.  Membership is open to all who join. Bill sponsorship is restricted to United States Citizens, 18 and older, who intend to submit a bill (Bill Sponsors). Raters of the bills displayed on the site, must be above the age of 13, although they are excluded from actual membership. Minors are free to use an adult proxy (preferably, a relative with the same last name whose identity is verifiable), in order to be able to participate as a Bill Sponsor.


  2. PASSWORDS/PRIVACY/CONFIDENTIALITY. WARNING: Individuals who seek to use this site for any unlawful purpose are hereby informed that your intent to use this site to engage in any criminal purpose WILL result in our investigation of your activities.  Should aGREATER.US ascertain the identities of any individuals who use this site for any other purpose than its designed lawful purpose, we will immediately forwarded your identity to the appropriate state and/or federal law enforcement and/or regulatory authorities. 
  1. USERNAME. Your username will be shared with other users of this platform. You, as a member of the site are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your true name and identity, and email address, in addition to your username and password; you are also fully responsible for all activities that occur under your username or true identity. You agree that you will immediately notify aGREATER.US, via email, immediately, of unauthorized use of your true identity, username, password, or email.  aGREATER.US shall not be liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure or negligence in complying with these requirements.  Furthermore, if we determine that your use of this service is intended for a purpose other than the lawful ones contemplated herein, then we can revoke your access to this site at any time.

COPYRIGHTS AND INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY.  aGREATER.US, is the exclusive owner and proprietor of the platform services provided herein.  However, the submissions you make will always be attributable to you.  You give aGREATER.US a non-revocable license to display your submissions to other members and the public at large. 
    1. LOGOS.  "aGREATER.US, "and the AGREATER.US, or any corresponding logo in picture form are trademarks ("Marks") belonging to aGREATER.US.  Any unauthorized use of these Marks is strictly prohibited.
    2. The Website Platform is Ours.  The information, documentation and other Content posted in this Website, including the website belong to aGREATER.US. The arrangement and overall appearance of the website, including, but not limited to, the graphics, icons, organization, strictly belong to aGREATER.US.
    3. Your Submission Content is Yours.  Copying or reproducing your submission(s) and ideas for further reproduction or redistribution is permissible.  You are free to reproduce, duplicate, copy, sell or exploit any aspect of your ideas submitted to this site, with the knowledge that others may have the legal right to do the same, subject to the principles of fair use.   1. DISPUTE RESOLUTION. To prevent the waste of any number of tangible and intangible resources on litigation, you and aGREATER.US, agree to resolve disputes privately by good faith negotiation where at all possible. Any dispute that you and aGREATER.US, cannot resolve by negotiation shall be submitted to mediation, and if mediation fails, arbitration, under the rules of the American Arbitration Association, or any comparable entity agreed upon in writing by both aGREATER.US, and you. Any arbitration award issued by the arbitrator shall be final, binding, and enforceable in any court of competent jurisdiction. You and aGREATER.US, agree that any mediation or arbitration of disputes pursuant to this paragraph will be held at the appropriate venue in Hartford, CT.  Each party shall be responsible for his/her/its share of the arbitration fees in accordance with the applicable Rules of Arbitration.

ATTORNEYS' FEES.  In the event a party fails to proceed with arbitration, unsuccessfully challenges the arbitrator's award, or fails to comply with the arbitrator's award, the other party is entitled to costs of suit, including reasonable attorney fees for having to compel arbitration or defend or enforce the award.  Should either party resort to any other legal proceedings in connection with this Agreement, this contract binds the prevailing party in such legal proceedings to recover its reasonable attorneys' fees and costs from the non-prevailing party, notwithstanding any general legal principles or local policies to the contrary.

  1. GOVERNING LAW.  This Agreement shall be governed by and construed without regard to any perceived or actual conflict of laws, and shall be adjudicated in accordance with the laws of Connecticut.

SEVERABILITY.  These Terms and Conditions were drafted in good faith with every intention of supporting notions of fairness and respect for public policy.  No provision herein was written with the intent to defraud, misrepresent or to mislead.  If any term, provision, covenant or condition of this Agreement, or the application thereof, to any person, place, or circumstance, shall be held to be invalid, unenforceable, or void, the remainder of this Agreement shall remain in full force and effect.

  1. LICENSES.  You grant aGREATER.US, the right to use the information that you provide us, solely to carry out our responsibilities to you, as user of our platform, and by so granting us that right, you agree that we are not violating any rights you might have in that Content. 

 

  1. DISCLAIMER OF ENDORSEMENT. Reference to any products, services, hypertext link to the third parties or other information by trade name, trademark, and supplier or otherwise does not constitute or imply its endorsement, sponsorship or recommendation by aGREATER.US, or its employees. NO WAIVERS.  aGREATER.US does not waive any of its rights to enforce any provision of this Agreement at any time.  This is the case even if there is a lapse in time between our initial notice of any failure to perform and our ultimate decision to take action to strictly enforce the Agreement.

The headings, recitals and captions of this Agreement are provided for convenience only, and are intended to have no effect in construing or interpreting this Agreement.  The language in all parts of this Agreement shall be in all cases construed according to its fair meaning and not strictly for or against either party.  We stress again, that, by accessing this site, you are conclusively presumed to have read and understood all its terms, unless aGREATER.US, receives a written request [write to:  aGREATER.US, PO Box 272, West Cornwall, CT 06796] from you seeking clarification of the Agreement's contents.  Notwithstanding any other communications between you and aGREATER.US, only the terms herein constitute the entire agreement between you and aGREATER.US, Inc.

What information do we collect?

We collect information from you when you register on our site, place an order, subscribe to our newsletter, respond to a survey or fill out a form.

How do we protect your information?

We us diverse security measures to maintain the safety of your personal information when you place an order or enter, submit, or access your personal information.

We use a secure server, for transmission of any sensitive bank or other information via Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology.  The protected materials are encrypted into our Payment gateway provider’s database only to be accessible by authorized individuals who have special access and who have proven their ability to keep your information confidential.
After a transaction, your private information (debit cards, ACH checking account number, etc.) will not be kept on file for more than 60 days.

Do we use cookies?

Yes.  Cookies are small files that aGREATER.US’s service provider, with your permission, transfers to your computers hard drive through your Web browser.  This enables the sites or service providers’ systems to recognize your browser and capture and remember certain information.

Do we disclose any information to outside parties?
